Folge 03.01 Ein lausiger Kellner
  [Misery loves company] (07/15/92)

Brandon arbeitet wie schon im Jahr zuvor statt im Peach Pit den Sommer über beim Beverly Hills Beach Club. Auch Andrea arbeitet dort, sie betreut Kinder und trifft sich mit Jay Thermon aus dem Nordwesten. Jim und Cindy Walsh werden Mitglieder des Clubs. Steve wird aus dem Peach Pit gefeuert, nachdem er zu spät kommt und lügt, daß er in der Schule aufgehalten wurde. Brenda schleicht sich aus dem Haus, um Dylan zu treffen, wird aber erwischt und beschließt wütend, zu ihm zu ziehen. Donna und Kelly planen ihren Parisurlaub, und Donnas Eltern lassen sich doch nicht scheiden, zumal David sie in flagranti erwischt hat. Jackie Taylor liegt in den Wehen. Brenda is depressed because she's been forbidden to see Dylan and sneaks to see him. Kelly and Donna discuss their upcoming Paris trip; Donna wants to stay behind because she fears her parents will divorce. Steve sees Brandon's Peach Pit paycheck and scoffs; Brandon bets Steve he can't hold down a job, so Steve goes to work at the Peach Pit. He is hopeless and finally pays off the bet. Andrea takes a job as summer counselor and Brandon worries she'll cramp his sexy style at the beach club, but she begins dating a Republican college student, Jay. Cindy and Jim rent a beach cabana for the summer and see Brenda with Dylan; they are furious. When they arrive home they find that Brenda's clothes are gone; she's moved in with Dylan. Donna's parents make up and call off the divorce. Jackie goes into labor.

Folge 03.02 Nicht ehetauglich
  [The twins, the trustee, and the big trip] (07/22/92)

Andrea setzt ihre Arbeit im Club und ihre Treffen mit Jay fort. Kelly beschließt, wegen der Geburt ihrer kleinen Schwester Erin nicht nach Paris zu fahren. Jim Walsh erpreßt Dylan, Brenda zu dem Parisurlaub zu bewegen. Donna möchte lieber mit David fahren, doch der muß den Sommer über pauken, um seinen Abschluß eher machen zu können. Brandon und Steve treffen sich mit Zwillingen, Clare und Rory, aber Steve bringt alles durcheinander. Brenda sieht Dylan und Kelly zusammen, als sie mit Donna nach Paris abfährt. David and Kelly visit Jackie and the new baby, Erin, at the hospital. Jim and Cindy are upset over Brenda's living arrangement, which isn't working out so well for Brenda, either. She and Dylan are having trouble with their new domesticity and fight over vacuuming and laundry detergent. She realizes she misses the Walsh house, and Cindy plays into that emotion, while Jim's tactic is to financially threaten Dylan. Kelly is initially uncomfortable with the baby but they begin to bond. She decides not to go to Paris for the summer so she can spend time with Erin. After some debate, and with Dylan's support, Brenda accepts her parents' offer to send her to Paris in Kelly's place. Steve and Brandon date identical twins and pull a romantic switcheroo, but it backfires when the twins retaliate in kind. Everybody sees Donna and Brenda off to Paris.

Folge 03.03 Liebeskummer
  [Too little, too late] (07/29/92)

Brenda und Donna lernen in Paries Maggie, Lynette, Anne und Marie kennen. Sie haben Schwierigkeiten, die Speisekarte zu verstehen und essen am Ende Rinderhirn. David träumt von Donna, während er Musik macht. Steve rät Brandon, Andrea näherzukommen. Seine Eifersucht Jay gegenüber bringt Brandon dazu, Andrea zu küssen, aber sie weist ihn zurück. Andrea trifft einen tauben Jungen, Cameron Shaw. Dylan schreibt eine Petition für seinen Vater, doch ohne Erfolg, dieser muß im Gefängnis bleiben. Kelly macht mit Jake Schluß und kommt Dylan näher. Andrea and Brandon work at the beach club. Andrea has a new camper, Cameron, who is deaf. Her relationship with Jay is going well, and he invites her to work at the Republican convention with him for the rest of the summer. Brandon realizes he is jealous and cares more for Andrea than he thought. Dylan's father is up for parole and asks Dylan to write a letter of support. Dylan feels conflicted but writes the letter. Brenda and Donna arrive in Paris with a few mishaps. Their hotel is less than perfect and they order calf brains for dinner by accident. Despite some initial fun, they start to miss their boyfriends. Brandon kisses Andrea but she rejects him. Dylan's father is denied parole. Andrea decides to stay in Beverly Hills for the summer to work with the kids. Dylan and Kelly begin to confide in one another more often.

Folge 03.04 Sex, Lügen und Volleyball
  [Sex, lies and volleyball] (08/05/92)

Brooke Alexander von Palos Verdes weist Steves Avancen zurück, weil sie sich von Brandon angezogen fühlt. Steve und Brooke schlagen Kelly und Dylan beim Beach Club Volleyball-Wettbewerb und gewinnen auch das Finale. Kelly und Dylan schmusen in ihrer Kabine im Club, als sie sich zum Videogucken verabreden. David trifft Nikki Witt aus San Francisco. Sie küssen sich, aber Kelly erwischt sie und ermahnt David, an Donna zu denken. Währenddessen bekommt Donna das Angebot eines Dreijahres-Model-Vertrages, das sie ablehnt, weil einer der Angestellten, Pierre, sie sexuell belästigt. Brenda beginnt zu rauchen. The beach club's volleyball tournament is about to begin. Steve spots Brooke, a newcomer, and asks her to be his partner. Kelly and Dylan sign up as partners. Nikki, a girl from San Francisco, hears David's music coming from the cabana and likes it. They are attracted to one another. Steve likes Brooke, but Brooke likes Brandon, which makes Brandon feel guilty. Steve pouts but eventually Steve and Brooke win the tournament and Brandon and Brooke date. Kelly and Dylan play volleyball and watch "Casablanca" together; feelings emerge between them, but nothing happens. Kelly walks in while Nikki and David are kissing and is angry for Donna. David tells Nikki that he loves Donna and must stay true. Donna is discovered by a modeling agent in Paris and gets caught up in a fashionable whirl. She later finds out that the photographer has ulterior motives and throws wine on him.

Folge 03.05 Kreuzfeuer der Liebe
  [Shooting star] (08/12/92)

Kelly und Dylan fahren Jetski und landen schließlich zusammen im Bet in Paradise Cove, ihre Beziehung zueinander und ihre Freundschaft zu Brenda riskierend. Währenddessen trifft Brenda auf Rick, einem amerikanischen College-Studenten, und gaukelt ihm vor, daß sie Französin sei, um ihn zu beeindrucken. Steve überzeugt David, sein Manager sein zu können gegen 10% der Einnahmen, als er ihn spielen hört. Brandon hilft Jack Canner, einem obdachlosen Golfkriegs-Veteran, aber seine Bemühungen schlagen fehl. Andrea ist nervös, als ihr Cameron, der taube Schüler, verlorengeht. Brandon befriends a homeless man on the beach, but Brooke is less than sympathetic and wishes the beach were private. Brandon tries to get the man a job and realizes that Brooke may not be so great. Steve likes David's music and asks to be his manager; David reluctantly accepts. Dylan and Kelly confront their feelings for one another and kiss but feel guilty. David walks in on them, which makes them feel even worse. Kelly joins Dylan for one final night before Brenda returns and the two camp on the beach. Brenda meets an American, Rick, and pretends to be French. They have a marvelous time, go out again, and kiss passionately. The hotel throws a going-away party for the American girls and Rick shows up. He asks her to meet him the next day, but she's too late and sees him getting into a taxi, leaving forever.

Folge 03.06 Sandburgen und Luftschlösser
  [Castles in the sand] (08/19/92)

Als Brandon Brenda und Donna eine "Welcome Home"-Party in der Casa Walsh ausrichtet, merkt Brenda, das sich etwas bei Dylan verändert hat. Steve besorgt David einen Auftritt im Beach Club. Andreas Kindergruppe gewinnt den Sandburgen-Bauwettbewerb mit einer Nachbildung des Batmobils. Brookes rassistischen Kommentare bringen Brandon dazu, mit ihr Schluß zu machen. Brenda gibt gegenüber Dylan zu, daß sie Rick in Paris kennengelernt hat, und Kelly findet heraus, daß Brenda raucht. Alle drei beschließen, die kürzlichen Geschehnisse als vergangen abzuhaken. Brenda and Donna fly home as Dylan and Kelly wake up together on the beach, knowing their relationship must end. The gang meets at the Walsh house to welcome the girls home. Brenda tells her parents that they need to confront her relationship with Dylan. Kelly and Dylan feel awkward; Brenda confesses to Kelly that she dated Rick in Paris. Dylan is oversolicitous with Brenda, and Kelly withdraws. Dylan tries to talk to Kelly but she pulls away. Steve gets David a gig playing at the beach club on its last summer night and he's a big hit. Brooke makes repeated racist remarks and Brandon breaks up with her. Brenda tells Dylan that she was attracted to somebody in Paris but that it didn't amount to much, and he asks her if she's ready to spend their senior year together. He and Kelly agree that what they had is in the past.

Folge 03.07 Der Neuling
  [A song for myself] (09/09/92)

Zum Start des letzten Jahres an der Schule helfen die Seniors den Juniors, in der Schule zurechtzukommen. Donna gerät dabei ausgerechnet an Nikki, die sich aber nun mehr für Brandon interessiert. Brenda kümmert sich um Sue Scanlot, Scotts kleine Schwester, die Probleme hat. Andrea schlägt sich mit Gil Meyers, dem neuen Lehrer, der zuständig für den Blaze ist, herum, nachdem dieser Brandon eine CVD-Position angeboten hat. Sie macht ihm Vorwürfe, daß er sich für Brandon nur entschieden hat, weil dieser ein Mann ist. Daraufhin wird die CVD-Stelle zwischen Andrea und Brandon geteilt. Donna erfährt die Wahrheit über David und Nikki, und unterwirft Davids Liebe zu ihr bei Dylans Party einem Test. Kelly wird eifersüchtig, als sie sieht, wie Dylan und Brenda sich küssen. The gang returns to school for their senior year. Kelly sees Brenda and Dylan kissing and winces. David is back in the radio booth when he sees Nikki, who's transferred to West Beverly. To make matters worse, her senior buddy is Donna, and David fears that Donna will find out about his kiss with Nikki. Brandon wants to step down as sports editor. The new faculty advisor, Gil Meyers, encourages him to stay and offers him the editor-in-chief position. Andrea is hurt, quits, and accuses Gil of sexism. Brandon and Andrea decide to share the top job. To Kelly's dismay, she, Brenda, and Dylan wind up in the same classes. Brenda finds Kelly's earring in Dylan's couch, but Dylan says it belongs to his mother. Nikki tells Donna about her kiss with David; the two test David's affections and David's love for Donna is clear. Nikki shows interest in Brandon.

Folge 03.08 Blick hinter die Kulissen
  [The Back Story] (09/16/92)

Beth Nielson von "Back Story" ist in der Stadt, und Brenda, die immer noch raucht, hilft ihr, eine Show über die West Beverly High zu machen. The gang prepares to take the SAT for the second time, hoping for higher scores. After an SAT class, Brenda talks to a journalist, Beth, about prep courses. Steve notices that the woman is from a sleaze show, Back Story. Beth approaches Brenda alone, assures her that she's legitimate, and asks to do a story on West Beverly kids. Brenda is persuaded. Brenda has trouble quitting smoking and fights with Dylan about his decision not to attend college. Brenda feels alienated and continues to talk to Beth. When the show airs, it makes the gang look like a bunch of spoiled rich kids and divulges their secrets. All are furious at Brenda. Nikki pursues Brandon and he succumbs. An alumnus offers Steve the Legacy Key that opens any room at the high school. After some indecision, he decides to accept it. Beth appears at the SAT and tells everybody the show wasn't Brenda's fault.

Folge 03.09 College-Fieber
  [Highwire] (09/23/92)

Nachdem es einige interfamiliären Querelen gibt, überläßt Jim Brenda und Brandon die Wahl der Universität auch außerhalb Kaliforniens, doch beide entscheiden sich am Ende für die California University. Andrea träumt von Yale. Steve möchte zur USC, aber sein Notendurchschnitt ist nicht gut genug. Er bricht in die Schule ein, um sich einen neuen Hauptschlüssel zu besorgen. Dabei wird er von Mr. Hutchins überrascht, der 100$ Schweigegeld fordert. David will nicht zum College, und Kelly regt sich auf, als David sie versehentlich nackt im Bad sieht. Donnas künstlerisches Talent wird gelobt. Brandon geht weiterhin mit Nikki aus. David walks in on Kelly in the shower and sees her naked; all the guys are obsessed by David's sighting and Kelly is humiliated. Everybody agonizes about college: Andrea worries about getting into Yale and paying for it, Jim and Cindy tell Brenda and Brandon that they can only afford to send one twin out of state, Steve learns that his grades aren't good enough for USC, Donna resigns herself to being dumb, and Kelly and Dylan don't really want to go to college. Brenda begins to worry that she and Dylan may not have enough in common, while Brandon and Nikki are falling in love. Brandon and Brenda fight about who will get to go out of state, but both decide their first choice is California University. Donna finds that she has art talent and isn't stupid after all. Steve's Legacy Key doesn't work, but the janitor offers to sell him a good one.

Folge 03.10 Brandons Alleingang
  [Home and away] (10/07/92)

Ein Teil dieser Folge wird von Brandon erzählt. Ein Footballspiel zwischen West Beverly und Shaw wird zweifelhaft, weil Bose Hinton und Paul Browning von Shaw beim Footballspielen getöted werden. Brandon trifft sich mit Jordan Bonner, einem Journalist von Shaw, und sie schreiben einen Bericht über dieses Thema. Brandon lädt alle Schüler von Shaw zum Schulball ein, der von Brenda ausgerichtet und von Gil gesponsort wird. Andrea ärgert sich darüber. Donna wird eifersüchtig, weil Sue sich für David interessiert, der beim Ball Musik auflegt. Bill Taylor, Kellys Vater, versetzt sie bei einem verabredeten Treffen. Dylan tröstet sie und geht mit ihr zum Ball. Two students from Shaw High School are killed at a football game. West Beverly is set to play Shaw for homecoming, but the shootings scare everybody. Brandon covers the story and meets Jordan, a Shaw journalist, at a Board of Education hearing; the game is canceled. Brenda is in charge of the homecoming dance and wonders, with the others, whether it will be canceled also. Brandon feels their priorities are misguided and, with Jordan, writes a joint Shaw-West Beverly editorial eulogizing lost lives and innocence. To everybody's fear and dismay, Brandon invites all Shaw students to the Pigskin Prom. The security guards refuse to allow the black Shaw students to enter, which causes difficulty. The mood is tense, but in the end everybody dances to David's great tunes. Kelly's father stands her up at Spago and Dylan consoles her at the Peach Pit; the two join everybody at the dance.

Folge 03.11 Geheuchelte Unschuld
  [Presumption of innocence] (10/21/92)

Sue Scanlon beschuldigt Gil Meyers, sie sexuell belästigt zu haben, was zu seiner Suspension führt. Später ist Andrea zu einem Abendessen bei Susan eingeladen, wo sie herausfindet, daß das Ganze von Sue selbst ausging. David und Donna reden mit ihr und finden heraus, daß sie in Wahrheit von ihrem Onkel Henry mißbraucht wurde. Dylan wird Mitglied in einer Gruppe, die den Strand säubert, nachdem ihn ein Husten davon abgehalten hat, sich mit Brenda zu treffen. Später feiert er seinen 18. Geburstag im Peach Pit. Nikki gibt Brandon privaten Tanzunterricht, wodurch sie beide schließlich im Bett landen. Steve, Kelly und Brenda versuchen, Brandon zum Tanzen in einer Disco zu bewegen. Dylan has a cough and learns it's from surfing in contaminated water; he joins a group to help clean up the bay. Nikki loves to dance, so Brandon arranges to take dance lessons from David, but has to cancel at the last minute. When they go to a dance club, Nikki dances with others and Brandon is jealous. Nikki later gives him private dance lessons and the two start happily clubbing. Sue Scanlon, deceased Scott's younger sister and Brenda's freshman buddy, is troubled. She accuses Gil Meyers of sexual misconduct and he is suspended. Nobody knows who to believe. Gil decides to leave school because he feels Sue's too unstable to go through a hearing. Andrea has dinner at Sue's house where Sue tearfully confesses that it was she who seduced Gil, who is exonerated. David and Donna go talk to Sue and learn that her uncle has been sexually molesting her.

Folge 03.12 Schicksalsstunden
  [Destiny rides again] (11/04/92)

Brenda trifft Rick wieder, doch dieses Mal benimmt sie sich wie eine normale Amerikanerin, was dazu führt, daß sie mit Dylan Schluß macht und dieser sich wieder Kelly zuwendet. Dylan wird beschuldigt, bei den Prüfungen gemogelt zu haben, nachdem er plötzlich 300 Punkte besser abschneidet. Donna spricht mit Pater Chris über Sex, nachdem dieser sie und David in der Erwachsenenregion des Videoshops erwischt hat. Schließlich schlafen David und Donna miteinander in Donnas Zimmer. Steve und Herbert brechen in die Schule ein, um Steves Ergebnisse zu ändern, aber der Computer ist heruntergefahren. Andrea wird von einem Auto angefahren und bricht sich beide Beine. Nikki bekommt Tickets für die Rosie O'Donnell-Show für AIDS, und geht gemeinsam mit Brendon, David und Donna dorthin, um an der Livediskussion teilzunehmen. Donna is preoccupied with sex. She and David make out constantly but always stop short. David sleeps over and Donna has nightmares about celibacy, so she visits her priest to discuss the issue. Steve breaks into the school computer to alter his grades. Andrea is hit by a car and breaks both legs. Brenda runs into Rick and pretends once again to be French, visiting her aunt and uncle, the Walshes. Dylan is accused of cheating on the SAT but refuses to retake the test on principle. This angers Brenda, who wants to date Rick. Dylan tells her he romanced somebody else over the summer but won't say who; Brenda suggests they give the relationship a rest. When she calls Kelly to announce that she and Dylan have broken up, Dylan walks into Kelly's bedroom and says he wants to start seeing her again.

Folge 03.13 Vertrauensbrüche
  [Rebel with a cause] (11/11/92)

Steve fährt fort, Mr. Hutchins Schweigegeld zu zahlen, auch als dieser mehr verlangt. Andrea kommt aus dem Krankenhaus, muß aber im Rollstuhl fahren. Brenda und Rick treffen auf Dylan und Kelly, und Brenda gibt Kelly eine Ohrfeige. Diese ganze Geschichte bringt Dylan dazu darüber nachzudenken, ob er die Stadt verlassen sollte, um wieder einen klaren Kopf zu bekommen. Brandon debattiert mit seinem Vater Jim, als er dessen neue Sekretärin sieht. Nachdem David darüber nachdenkt, ob er bei einem Bandwettbewerb spielen soll, geht er mit Donna ins Peach Pit. The pressure is on Steve for the computer break-in; a major investigation is being conducted and he's afraid that Herbert, his freshman buddy who helped him gain access, will crack. Steve's also being blackmailed by the janitor who sold him the Legacy Key. The police are on the case, as is Andrea. Brenda is dating Rick, who gets along too well with Jim--the men discuss tax laws and sing "Great Balls of Fire" in the living room. Brenda and Rick run into Kelly and Dylan, who are going fast and heavy, at a restaurant; Brenda is furious and the two girls fight. Kelly and Dylan discuss their relationship and Kelly wonders whether she's just getting him on the rebound. Dylan decides to drop out of school over the SAT debacle. Jim has a new, beautiful secretary, and Cindy is jealous.

Folge 03.14 Die Panne
  [Wild horses] (11/18/92)

Nachdem Steve von Mr. Hutchins bedroht wird, fragt er Herbert, ob dieser die Schuld auf sich nimmt, doch sein schlechtes Gewissen bringt ihn dazu, Mrs. Teasly alles zu gestehen... das Ergebnis: er fliegt von der Schule. Andrea geht es besser, aber sie muß immer noch im Rollstuhl bleiben. Donna überzeugt Kelly und Brenda, wieder Freunde zu sein. Nachdem David beim Wettbewerb eine schlechte Show geliefert hat, feuert er Steve. Dylan verläßt die Stadt, doch in der Nähe einer Ranch hat er eine Panne. Dort trifft er Anne Berrisford, eine reiche, ältere Frau, in die er sich verliebt. Nachdem sie aber ihr Pferd für 1,3 Millionen $ verkauft, ändert er seine Meinung über sie. Nikkis Ex-Freund von "Diesel Stone and The Waste Management" bietet David einen Plattenvertrag an und bedroht Nikki erneut, die ihn wegen seiner Mißhandlungen verlassen hatte. Brandon ist aber rechtzeitig zur Stelle und schlägt ihn nieder, als er Nikki belästigen will. The investigation of the computer break-in intensifies. The janitor threatens to turn Steve in. Steve asks his freshman buddy, Herbert, to take the fall, but Herbert declines. Finally Steve confesses to Ms. Teasley, who expels him. Dylan drives to clear his head and his car breaks down on a deserted highway. An attractive, wealthy woman on horseback, Anne, invites him to her ranch, where he stays the night while waiting for his car part. She tries to domesticate him and asks him to live with her on the ranch, but he says there are things he misses in L.A. Nikki's old boyfriend, Diesel, shows up, and Brandon is jealous. Diesel proves to be abusive and Brandon appears as he's about to hit Nikki. Brandon punches him and leaves with Nikki. In Dylan's absence, Kelly and Brenda apologize to one another and make up.

Folge 03.15 Sei nett zu Fremden
  [Kindness of strangers] (11/25/92)

Es ist Thanksgiving, und Andreas Erholung macht gute Fortschritte, sie kann nun an Krücken gehen. David und Donna wollen nach "Big Bear" skifahren gehen, aber dort ist alles eingeschneit, und so feiern sie mit den anderen in der Casa Walsh. Brandon bringt Jack Canner mit, der sich prompt mit Jim über die Landesverteidigung streitet, doch später repariert er das defekte Dach der Walshes, so daß der Streit schnell vergessen ist. Dylans Vater wird für 48 Stunden aus dem Gefängnis entlassen und verbringt diese Zeit mit seiner Freundin Christine. Steve erzählt seiner Mutter von seinem Schulverweis bei Filmaufnahmen. Sie regt sich sehr auf, erreicht aber, daß er unter Auflagen wieder zur Schule gehen kann. Steve hat Sex mit Alyssa Gardner, der Produktionsassistentin bei den Filmaufnahmen. Weil Mel und Jackie in Palm Springs sind, ist auch Kelly bei den Walshes. On the day before Thanksgiving, rain falls from the Beverly Hills skies, straight through the holes in the Walsh ceiling. Dylan retrieves his father from prison for a holiday furlough; the two fight. Steve goes to Santa Barbara to tape a television special with his mother, and he agonizes over telling her of his expulsion. Brandon runs into Jack Canner, the Gulf War veteran whom he tried to help over the summer, and invites him to the Walsh house. Kelly, Andrea, Donna, and David attend the Walsh Thanksgiving. Jack and Jim fight but Jack proves his mettle by patching the holes in the roof. Dylan's father's new girlfriend, Christine, unites father and son. On camera, Steve tells his mother of his expulsion. She is furious, but arranges with Ms. Teasley for Steve to be reinstated with eternal detention. At school, Dylan says a cheerful hello to Brenda and Kelly, stunning them both.

Folge 03.16 Wunder dauern etwas länger

Andrea kann endlich ohne Krücken laufen und wird bei Yale angenommen, doch Jake macht mittels eines Briefes mit ihr Schluß. Cindy kommt überraschend dazu, als Brendon und Nikki im Bett sind. Nikki macht mit Brandon Schluß, weil sie wieder nach San Fransisco zurückzieht. Andrea gets into Yale, but her boyfriend, Jay, dumps her via letter. Nikki breaks up with Brandon because she's moving back to San Francisco. Andrea and Brandon kiss but fight because each suspects the other is thinking of prior loves. Brenda, Kelly, and Dylan decide to be friends, but Dylan and Brenda kiss and then Kelly and Dylan kiss, which Brenda sees; they all fight. David is upset because he is a junior and won't graduate with the crew. All are depressed but make up on the bus; David decides to graduate early. The bus heads for a fatal collision with a truck but God intervenes and saves their lives. Brenda and Kelly tell Dylan that he must decide between them by New Year's Eve.

Folge 03.17 Die Mutprobe

Andrea, die nun wieder vollständig mobil ist, begibt sich in Hypnose, um sich an ihren Unfall und die Verantwortlichen zu erinnern. Davids Entscheidung, die Schule eher abzuschließen bedeutet, daß er nun doppelt so hart arbeiten muß. Er kann deshalb seltener Schul-DJ sein, deshalb springt Donna für ihn ein und stellt sich als talentierte Ersatzfrau heraus. Brandons Teilnahme an einem Drag Racing mit Steve und Joe Wardlow führt ihn zu Frank Padilla, dem Fahrer, der Andrea angefahren hat, der daraufhin verhaftet wird. Dylans Doppel-Date mit Kelly und Brenda ist für ihn nicht gerade erfolgreich. Steve is in detention hell. Another student, Joe, plays practical jokes on him and bad-mouths Steve's mother, but Steve attempts to control himself. Andrea undergoes hypnotherapy to remember her car accident so she can put the hit-and-run driver behind bars. David doubles up on his schoolwork in order to graduate early and Donna helps out in the deejay booth. It upsets David that Donna's so good but they decide to deejay together in the future. Brenda and Kelly force Dylan to choose between them. They decide to make Dylan jealous by going out with two Princeton guys, but the boys turn out to be utter geeks from Princeton High School who play video games all night. Steve and Brandon get dangerously involved with drag racing, through which Brandon recognizes the driver who hit Andrea; the guy is placed under arrest. Brenda and Kelly post a photo of themselves on Dylan's locker to remind him of his impending decision.

  [Midlife - now what?] (01/13/93)

Nachdem sie das Buch "Mid-Life - was nun?" von Dr. Ben Cramer, gelesen hat, denkt Cindy, daß Jim sie mit seiner Sekretärin betrügt. Jackie findet heraus, daß Mel eine Affäre hat. Kelly, Brenda, Cindy, Jackie, Andrea und Donna fahren auf eine Schönheitsfarm... dort bekommt Jackie Kokain angeboten, lehnt es jedoch ab. Brandon wettet mit Steve auf Basketballspiele. Dylan traumt davon, daß er Brenda heiratet und fünf Kinder bekommt und daß er Kelly heiratet und sehr reich ist... und er entdeckt zufällig im Fernsehen, daß sein Vater nach zwei Jahren aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wird, mit 10 Jahren Bewährung. The girls go for a mother-daughter weekend at a spa; Donna's mother can't go, so Donna invites Andrea. Cindy, reading a book called "Midlife--Now What?," is jealous of Jim's beautiful secretary and is sure that he's cheating on her. An eavesdropping Brenda learns from strangers that Mel is having an affair; she tells Kelly. Kelly worries that her mother will revert to drug use when she finds out, but tells her anyway. Jackie is able to resist an offer of cocaine despite her devastation. Jim also reads "Midlife--Now What?." He fantasizes about his secretary, but she quits because she's getting married; Cindy is much relieved. Brandon starts to place big bets on basketball games. Dylan is depressed over the impending decision between Brenda and Kelly; he can't decide whom he likes best. Dylan learns from television news reports that his father's been released from prison.

Jim verbietet Brenda, zur Party im Belage Hotel zu gehen, wo Jack McKays Freilassung gefeiert wird. Auf der Party schwimmen Dylan und Kelly im Pool und küssen sich... Jack fragt Dylan, ob er gemeinsam mit ihm investieren will, aber Jim stimmt dem nicht zu. Brenda findet endlich heraus, daß Dylan und Kelly eine Affäre hatten und entscheidet sich, nie wieder mit ihnen zu reden. Steve besucht ein Lakers-Spiel und sitzt direkt neben Jack Nicholson. Jack McKay is released from prison under mysterious circumstances. Dylan invites the gang to a celebration but Jim forbids Brenda to attend and only Kelly comes. Dylan is hurt that nobody else has shown up; he and Kelly kiss in the pool. Jackie and Mel fight over Mel's infidelity and he moves out. David worries that he will also have to leave the Taylor household, but Jackie says he can stay as long as he likes. Brandon gets deeper into betting with a bookie. Andrea wonders whether she should go blond, streaks her hair, and realizes there is no sin in being attractive. Jack is back to his old tricks and asks Dylan to invest with him. The trust's dissolution requires the signatures of Jim and Iris, but Jim doesn't approve. Kelly and Dylan commit to one another and tell Brenda about their summer fling. Brenda is devastated and says she'll never speak to them again.

Iris McKay kommt in die Stadt und erwischt Kelly und Dylan in flagranti. Nachdem Dylan sie nach Ojai gebracht hat, erzählt sie ihm über ihr Mißfallen über den Fond, schließlich gibt sie aber nach. Jack hat jedoch einen Plan, Dylans Geld zu stehlen. Brendon plaziert immer mehr Wetten und macht große Gewinne, so daß er sich größere Anschaffungen leisten kann. Donna ersetzt David als DJ und begleitet ihn zu Icon Records, wo Curtis Bray ihn auffordert, Steve zu feuern, was David auch tut. Andrea fährt zu einem Yale tea nach San Marino und trifft Brandons Freund Jordan Bonner von Shaw. Brenda ist traurig wegen Dylan und Kelly, erfährt aber etwas Glück durch einen Kristall, den Iris ihr geschenkt hat. Brenda listens to REM's "Losing My Religion" over and over as she packs up all mementos of her relationship with Dylan. She fantasizes about going after Dylan and Kelly with an ax and admits that she never expected that Dylan would choose Kelly. Iris McKay arrives while Dylan and Kelly are making out; Iris is surprised that Kelly is not Brenda. Iris disapproves of Jack's influence over Dylan, but eventually agrees to sign over the trust fund. Jim vows to delay the process. Dylan's faith in his father grows. David meets with a record label and is told to fire Steve as his manager. Brandon places more bets and shops extravagantly with his winnings. Andrea goes to a Yale tea and worries that she's not socially up to snuff, but runs into Shaw student Jordan, with whom Brandon once wrote an editorial. Jordan sends Andrea a Valentine's Day fax. Kelly and Brenda chat briefly, breaking their silence.

Folge 03.21 Zahltag
  [Dead end] (02/10/93)

Jim unterschreibt für Dylan den Trust Fond über 10.000.000 $, die Jack dringend haben will. Dessen Leben verbessert sich, er ist nun mit Christine verlobt. Steve vergibt David, daß dieser ihn gefeuert hat. Serge Menkin von Icon Records fragt David, ob er einige Rhythmustracks aufnehmen kann. Jackie entschließt sich, das Haus zu verkaufen, was Kelly so aufregt, daß sie sich wieder umentscheidet. Andrea trifft sich mit Jordan. Brenda, Cindy und Donna nehmen an einem Selbstverteidigungskurs teil, und Brandon verliert 500 $ beim Wetten. Nachdem er sich mit Dylan und Christine auf seiner neuen Yacht getroffen hat, wird Jack durch eine Autobombe getötet, die eigentlich Dylan galt. Jack McKay has a new yacht and some suspicious men hang around who tell him to speed things up with Dylan's trust. Jack's financial conversations are being bugged. Jim stalls further in dissolving Dylan's trust, but eventually decides to stop being a surrogate parent and signs the money over. David signs a record contract and Steve gets over his dismissal as David's manager. Jackie can no longer support the house and decides to sell, which upsets Kelly, but in the end Jackie changes her mind. Andrea and Jordan date. Brenda, Cindy, and Donna take a self-defense course, which helps Brenda release tension. Brandon gets into trouble with the bookie because he can't cover his bets. Jack proposes to Christine and all seems blissful at the McKay yacht. Dylan goes to move the car, but Kelly calls, so Jack goes in his place. When he puts the key in the ignition, the car explodes. Dylan screams in anguish.

Dylan akzeptiert Brendas Angebot, zu den Walshes zu ziehen, was Kelly eifersüchtig macht. Die ganze Clique geht zu Jack McKays Begräbnis. Dylan verspürt die Alkoholsucht, bleibt aber start. Donna regt sich darüber auf, daß David lieber Plattenaufnahmen macht, als zur Beerdigung zu gehen. Brandon verliert immer mehr Geld. Dylan findet heraus, daß Christine in Wahrheit FBI-Agentin ist und daß sein Vater mitgeholfen hat, Straftäter ins Gefängnis zu bringen, wofür er eher aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurde. Dylan has nightmares about the car explosion and is in considerable pain. Jim invites Dylan to stay at the Walsh house during this tragic time. Dylan moves in under much attention from the press and Brenda tells him that she's putting aside her recent feelings in order to support him. Kelly has trouble comforting Dylan and worries that Brenda is better equipped in this situation. David has a recording session during the funeral and frets over which he should attend. Dylan has a gulp of alcohol and a demon voice tells him he has no friends, that he should drink, but in the end he triumphs over the bottle. The funeral is a journalism zoo. Dylan receives threatening calls and is told to meet somebody after the funeral. His caller is actually an FBI agent, and Christine turns out to be with FBI as well. Jack had turned informer against the mob, and was killed with honor by the bad guys.

Folge 03.23 Spielschulden
  [Duke's bad boy] (03/03/93)

Brandon schuldet den Buchmachern Duke und Tony 1.500 $, und er beschließt schon, seine Baseball-Karten zu verkaufen, als er genau diese Summe beim Celtic-Spiel gewinnt. Andrea schreibt eine Geschichte für den Blaze über Dylans Vater. David records some songs but is unhappy with the 1970s sound his producer is pushing. After his demo is played for the label's president, David is out of a recording contract, despite Steve's managerial efforts. Brandon is threatened with physical harm to pay back his gambling debts; he gambles further to pay the bookies, but Nat ends up paying the debts and gives Brandon a stern lecture. Dylan pushes Kelly away and spends lots of time at the Walsh house. Feeling rejected by Dylan, Kelly worries about her weight and begins taking diet pills. Andrea wants to do an editorial on Dylan and his father; Dylan refuses, but decides that he himself wants to write about his father. When Andrea learns of Dylan's interest in literature, she suggests he should join the A.P. English class; he does.

Folge 03.24 Traumfrauen

Der mögliche Verkauf ihres Elternhauses macht Kelly ärgerlich, sie ist unfreundlich zu potentiellen Käufern und droht damit, die Schule hinzuschmeißen; Donna, David und Brenda geben eine Geburtstagsüberraschungsparty zu Kellys 18. Geburtstag im Peach Pit. Andrea kommt mit Jordan Bonner, Kelly mit Dylan. Kurz nach der Ankunft kippt Kelly wegen einer Diätpillen-Überdosis um. Brandon und Steve nehmen an der TV-Dating-Show "Lova at First Sight" teil. Steve gewinnt und nimmt sein Date, Celeste Lundy, mit zum Santa Monica Beach Front Oasis Hotel Resort. Kelly is obsessed with her weight, exercising constantly, starving herself, and popping diet pills. This makes her incredibly edgy. The Taylor house is back on the market, and Kelly blows up at prospective buyers. The gang plans a surprise party at the Peach Pit for Kelly's eighteenth birthday and Kelly is paranoid that they are hiding something from her. Steve and Brandon go on a television dating show where, contrary to past history, Steve wins the girl, Celeste, whom he starts dating. Dylan arrives to take Kelly to the party and she is in an awful state, grumpy and mean, popping still more diet pills. At the Peach Pit, she goes to the restroom and collapses on the floor; she is rushed to the hospital. The doctor suggests eating-disorder therapy. It appears as if Kelly and Dylan are coming to an end.

Folge 03.25 Die Besten des Jahres
  [Senior poll] (04/07/93)

Es ist "Senior Poll"-Woche, und die Besten des Jahres werden gewählt. Kelly wird die Schönste, Donna die Bestangezogendste, Freundlichste, die mit dem lustigsten Lachen und die Naivste, Brandon und Andrea werden als Erfolgreichste gewählt, David als Talentiertester, Dylan ist der Smarteste, Tony Miller der Athletischste. Kelly regt sich darüber auf, daß Dylan die erste Fassung seines Schreibens Andrea zeigt, obwohl es doch ihr gewidmet ist. Brenda bewirbt sich an der University of Minnesota. Brandon und Steve gehen zu einem Football-Spiel der Lakers. Steve sitzt auf Platz GG35 und wird ausgelost, 10.000 $ zu gewinnen, wenn er den Basketballkorb aus einer Long Distance-Position heraus trifft. Er schafft es und stiftet das Geld dem Alvarado Street Summer Camp, bei dem Andrea als Beraterin arbeiten wird. Kelly attends an eating-disorder therapy group but hates it. Dylan continues to write about his father, but will only show his work to Andrea, which hurts Kelly. The winners of the senior poll are announced: Donna is deemed best dressed, David most talented, Andrea most likely to succeed, Dylan most handsome, and Kelly most beautiful. Kelly worries that others only care about her looks and think she's an airhead. She blows up at Dylan for valuing her as a sex object, and yells at her mother for pushing her into modeling, Weight Watchers, and a nose job. Dylan seeks Kelly out and comforts her insecurities. He allows her to read his piece and Kelly finds that he's dedicated it to her. Brenda decides to apply to the University of Minnesota. Steve wins $10,000 by making a half-court basket at a basketball game and anonymously donates the money to a school charity.

Folge 03.26 Frühstücksgäste
  [She came in through the bathroom window] (04/28/93)

Ginger, die die Burt-Reynolds-Fan-Club-Tour begleitet, kommt im Peach Pit an, wo sie von Brandon und Steve willkommengeheißen wird. Sie finden heraus, daß sie von ihrem Boss betrogen wurde und kein Geld hat, was sie dazu bringt, Brandons Auto zu stehlen. Die beiden fangen sie und halten nach Burt Reynolds Ausschau. Auf ihrer Fahrt werden die drei für einen Zahn-Werbespot engagiert. Später werden sie verhaftet, weil Brandons Auto immer noch als gestohlen registriert ist. Währenddessen fahren die Mädchen der Clique zu einem Vergnügungspark. Andrea überwindet ihre Angst, mit der Achterbahn zu fahren, Kellys Geldbörese wird gestohlen und Donna niedergeschlagen, doch der Täter wird gefaßt. It's Senior Ditch Day, a school trip to Magic Mountain amusement park. Andrea is afraid of roller coasters but triumphs over her fears. Kelly's wallet is stolen and Donna is mugged, but she fights her attacker and he is caught. Dylan plans to retake the SAT. Flu-stricken Nat asks Brandon to run the Peach Pit for a Burt Reynolds Fan Club breakfast; Dylan and Steve help. Brandon finds the tour guide, Ginger, sobbing; she's been scammed by her boss and has no money. The group gets antsy because Burt Reynolds hasn't arrived. Steve attempts to contact Reynolds. Ginger escapes through the bathroom window and takes Brandon's Mustang; Steve and Dylan stop her and set off to find Reynolds. Because the Mustang had been reported stolen, they are arrested. To the club's delight, Burt Reynolds shows up, but Ginger disappears again and it turns out she was the scam artist.

Folge 03.27 Eine heiße Nacht
  [A night to remember] (05/05/93)

Brandon und Brenda haben kein Date für die Abschlußfeier im Belage Hotel, wo Kathy Dennis auftreten wird. Brandon fragt zwar Andrea, doch die ist mit Jordan verabredet. Doch der wird krank, und so geht sie mit Brandon zur Feier, was schließlich für die beiden im Bett endet. Brenda geht schließlich mit Tony Miller, und Steves nimmt Celeste mit. Dylan und Kelly planen, hinterher zum Fairmont Hotel nach San Fransisco zu fahren. Tony und David kommen jedoch nicht zu ihrem sexuellen Vergnügen, obwohl sie Zimmer für die Nacht ereserviert haben. Es gilt Alkohol- und Drogenverbot, und ausgerechnet Donna wird von Mrs. Tiesley erwischt. The senior prom is approaching and everybody worries about finding dates. Brandon asks Andrea but she's going with Jordan. Brenda calls Rick but he has a new girlfriend. Cindy suggests that the twins go together, but they find the idea unpalatable. Donna's mother is instrumental in passing a dress-code rule for West Beverly; the school board also votes to expel anyone who drinks at school-sponsored functions. Jock Tony takes Brenda, and Brandon goes with Andrea because Jordan has the flu. Kelly plans to accompany Dylan to San Francisco after the prom so that he can interview at UC-Berkeley. Donna and David decide to have sex after the prom. At David's father's pre-party, Donna gets too drunk because she's so nervous about sex. She is caught when she falls down in front of Ms. Teasely. Brandon invites Andrea up to a hotel room but they don't end up going.

Folge 03.28 Für ein Glas zuviel
  [Something in the air] (05/12/93)

Donna erwartet eine Disziplinarstrafe wegen ihres Alkoholkonsums bei der Feier, aber Brandon und die anderen Schüler demonstrieren aufgrund Gil Meyers Vorschlag vor der Schule. Sie haben Erfolg, und die Maßnahmen gegen Donna werden aufgehoben. Dylan erwägt, sich in Berkeley zu bewerben. Brandon und Andrea diskutieren über die Möglichkeit, miteinander zu schlafen. Das Taylor-Haus wird verkauft, was David und Kelly aufregt. Dylan seriously considers attending UC-Berkeley. Brandon and Andrea discuss the possibility of having sex. Donna is embarrassed and scared about her drunken prom appearance. She's called to Ms. Teasely's office with her parents and is told that the school board will vote on her expulsion; Donna gets suspended and must attend summer school, but will graduate in the fall rather than with her class. Donna's mother behaves like a witch, possibly, says Donna, in retribution for Donna's discovery of her mother's affair. Finally the Martins agree to help Donna appeal the school board's decision. Brandon leads a demonstration, chanting "Donna Martin graduates"--the support is overwhelming. The students also protest the dress code. The board drops the charges against Donna.

Folge 03.29 Abschlussfeier
  [Commencement] (05/19/93)

Andrea gesteht Brandon ihre Gefühle. David und Kelly packen Umzugskisten. Brenda bekommt eine Zusage aus Minnesota, Brandon dagegen entscheidet sich für die California University, Dylan bleibt ebenfalls. Mrs. Tiesley findet heraus, daß Steve der Unbekannte mit der großzügigen Spende war. Donna leitet das Senior Frühstück. Als sich die Clique den bevorstehenden Abschluß vor Augen führt, erinnern sich alle an bestimmte Augenblicke - Karaoke im Peach Pit, Brandon und Andrea, Color Me Badd, Kelly und Dylan im Pool, Donna und Brendas Gehirn-Menü in Paris, Camping, Brandons Freundinnen, Kelly und Brenda beim Skydiven und Brenda mit Dylan im Hotel.Die Erinnerungen gehen weiter: Brandons betrunkene Autofahrt, Brendas erstes Treffen mit Dylan, Steves gestohlenes Auto, Scott Scanlon, Brenda bei Dylan eingezogen, mit ihm streitend, Kellys Vater, Donnas Jungfräulichkeit, Dylans Buch, Brendas Schwangerschaftstest. Bei der Abschlußfeier ist Kellys Vater plötzlich unter den Gästen, Kelly entscheidet sich für das Hauptfach Psychologie. Dylan und Kelly wollen den Sommer in Europa verbringen. Dylan will nach Berkeley, Brenda nach Minnesota, alle anderen haben sich für die California University entschieden. In der Nacht der Party tauscht die Clique das berühmte Hollywood-Schild gegen "W Bev Hi 93" aus. The gang prepares for graduation, feeling conflicted emotions, flashing back to great times, wondering what might have been. David is fried from studying so much in order to graduate early. Steve worries that he might not graduate, but Ms. Teasely congratulates him on his grades and writes him a recommendation letter. Andrea frets over Yale and her valedictorian speech. Brenda thinks about the University of Minnesota. Donna considers California University, as does Dylan, who also reinstates his trust with Jim. Graduation brings family situations and nerves, but ultimately is quite touching to all. That night the gang gathers in the hills and hangs "W. BEV. HI '93" over the HOLLYWOOD sign. Brenda announces she's going to the University of Minnesota, and Andrea decides to go to Yale. Dylan is still unsure of his college plans but decides to bum around Europe for the summer and asks Kelly to go with him.
