Folge 04.01 Schwerer Abschied und Neuanfang
  [So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye] (09/08/93)

Nach der Sommerpause bereiten sich alle fürs Unileben vor. Steve ist an der CU angenommen worden, auch Andrea hat sich schließlich nicht für Yale entschieden, weil ihre Großmutter Pflege braucht und das Schulgeld günstiger ist. Steve mietet für zwei Wochen ein Strandhaus in Malibu, wo auch die Abschiedsparty für Brenda stattfindet. Dylan wurde von Berkeley abgelehnt. Kelly kommt ohne Dylan aus europa zurück und mietet mit Donna und David ein Appartment am Strand. Brandon trifft Jill und verliebt sich, genau wie Steve, in sie. Brenda zieht in ihr Zimmer an der Universität von Minnesota - dort fühlt sie sich wie ein Außenseiter, auch wenn ihre alte Freundin Darla dort ist. Everybody's back from the summer, gearing up for college. Steve has been accepted to California University and is house-sitting in Malibu. He and Brandon have a going-away party for Brenda. Kelly returns from Europe without Dylan; Dylan was rejected by UC-Berkeley, and their trip had been less than ideal. Cindy and Brenda leave for Minnesota. Andrea has decided to attend CU and is disappointed that Gil Meyers has a fiancee. Brandon meets Jill, a New York sophisticate, whose father owns the Malibu house; there is an attraction, but Steve also likes her, which makes Celeste, his dating-show girlfriend, jealous. Donna, David, and Kelly decide to move into a beach apartment, but Donna worries about her parents' reaction to David's presence. Brenda moves into her Minnesota dorm with her old friend, Darla, but she's treated like an outsider and wonders whether she's made a mistake. Dylan calls Brenda from Europe but she's not home.

Folge 04.02 Das Mädchen aus New York

Kelly, Donna und David ziehen in die Strandwohnung. Brandon, Jill, Steve und Celeste gehen nach Malibu. Ein Tennismatch führt zum Kampf zwischen den beiden Jungs. Danach schläft Brandon mit Jill... Kelly und Dylan diskutieren über ihre Affären in Paris. Andrea hat Probleme mit der Insulinversorgung ihrer Großmutter. Brendas Abenteuer in Minnesota wird unfreundlicher, weil Darla sie aus dem Zimmer rausschmeißt, wenn sie mit ihrem Freund zusammensein will. Schließlich packt Brenda entnervt die Koffer und fährt zum Flughafen. Brandon and Jill have a relationship before she returns to New York; they hang out with Steve and Celeste in Malibu. Kelly, Donna, and David move into the beach apartment, trying to hide their living arrangement from Donna's mother. David hopes to share room and bed with Donna, but she dashes his dreams. Dylan returns from Europe but doesn't feel like seeing anybody. Kelly tells Donna about their trip: she got bored, went to Paris to shop, and returned to find Dylan with a French girl; they fought and Kelly returned to Paris and dated Gaston, a cute bartender. Kelly finally works up the courage to see Dylan; they confess that neither slept with their French flings and reunite. Andrea considers going pre-med. Brenda hates Minnesota and is continually forced out of her room while Darla fools around with her boyfriend, so Brenda packs her bags and heads for the airport.

Folge 04.03 Ein heilloses Durcheinander
  [Little fishes] (09/22/93)

Die Einschreibungswoche an der CU scheint interessant zu werden. Steve und Brandon werden Mitglieder bei der Kappa Epsilon-Studentengemeinschaft.. Brenda kehrt in die Casa Walsh zurück und ruiniert damit Brandons Pläne mit ihrem Zimmer. Andrea will nun doch nicht Journalismus studieren und trifft sich mit Dan Rubin, ihrem Zimmerverantwortlichen. Donna und David bewerben sich für das Campusradio und bekommen den Job, der ziemlich anstrengend wird, 6 Tage die Woche vier Stunden. Dylan entschließt sich auch für die CU. Kelly schreibt sich für Psychologie ein. Steve beschließt, beim Matheeinstufungstest zu betrügen und schafft es, zwei Semester Mathe zu umgehen. Josh Richland, der Redakteur der Collegezeitung, schlägt Brandon ein Probefeature vor - er soll über die Freshman Party berichten. Brenda returns to Beverly Hills and announces that she won't go to college, which upsets Jim and Cindy. At registration Dylan is turned off by the lack of class vacancies and decides not to attend, angering Kelly. Zealous Steve and reluctant Brandon pledge the Kappa Epsilon Gamma (KEG) frat. Donna and David audition for the campus radio station and are accepted for their comic bickering. Andrea tries out for the school paper with a scathing review of the Peach Pit but decides she hates cut-throat journalism and will go pre-med; she meets Dan Rubin, her cute resident advisor. Steve cheats on a math placement exam and is advised to major in astrophysics. The college newspaper editor, Josh Richland, asks Brandon to run for student senate based on his "Donna Martin graduates" leadership. Dylan and Brenda share a wonderful day together and commiserate over their reactions to college; both decide to enroll, after all.

Folge 04.04 Es leben die Griechen
  [Greek to me] (09/29/93)

Brenda, Kelly, Donna und Andrea sehen sich die verschiedenen Verbindungen an. Ihnen gefällt Alpha Omega am besten, doch Andrea wird abgelehnt, weil sie Jüdin ist. Donna und Kelly entscheiden sich schließlich trotzdem für Alpha Omega. Steve lädt alle zur Disco-Fever-Party bei Epsilon Gamma ein. Brandon wird gefragt, ob er der Vertreter der Freshmans im Studentensenat sein möchte, doch als seine Ideen nicht realisiert werden, verläßt er den Senat wieder. Kelly trifft John Sears wieder, ein Ex-Freund, der sich offenbar ziemlich verändert hat. Donna und Davids Experimente beim Late-Night Radio bringt ihnen ein paar Probleme, doch mit ihrem Beratungsservice werden sie ziemlich bekannt. It's rush week on campus. Brandon and Steve experience the KEG house and Andrea, Brenda, Kelly, and Donna scope out sororities. The frat pressures Brandon not to get involved with school politics, while the campus progressives disdain the Greek system. Brandon decides they're all too rigid and eschews both groups. Andrea is encouraged to join a Jewish sorority or hide her identity, and chooses neither. Brenda dislikes the sorority, while Donna and Kelly join Alpha Omega. Kelly worries about John Sears, an unfortunate past fling and current KEG-man and BMOC, but he seems nicer now and she is attracted to him. Kelly and Dylan don't see eye- to-eye about the Greek system, but Dylan and Brenda discover more common ground. David and Donna have trouble with the late-night radio scene but spontaneously revamp their routine into male-female advice and bickering, which is a success.

Folge 04.05 Der erste Collegetag

Am ersten Unitag gibt es eine große Poolparty - Brandon kocht, und David und Brenda gewinnen den Tanzwettbewerb. Dylan erwischt Kelly mit John und wirft diesen in den Pool. Brenda findet einen Job bei ihrem Vater, aber sie verpaßt es, ein paar wichtige Verträge abzusenden. Donna verläßt das Late-Night-Radio und bekommt eine Tagessendung, was David ärgerlich macht. Celeste verläßt empört eine Party, weil Steve mit anderen Mädels flirtet. Dan Rubin, der Englischlehrer, blamiert Andrea vor der Klasse, indem er ein Gedicht von ihr kritisiert. Und das, wo sie ihn so attraktiv fand und sogar ein Date geplant hatte... David and Donna fight over their radio show on the first day of classes; Donna hates the late nights. Dylan and Brenda have a Romantic poetry class together, while the others experience large lecture courses. Brenda looks for a job but ends up working for her father. Kelly and Dylan fight about going to a wild Greek-system pool party; Dylan would rather attend a Kerouac reading. Steve flirts with others at the pool party and Celeste storms out, but he realizes he loves her and wins her back. Brenda fails to deliver contracts for Jim but receives a second chance. John Sears pursues Kelly; she gives in and kisses him. Andrea's English teacher is Dan Rubin. He reads her essay in front of the class but insults it and tells her she needs to pull down her intellectual mask.

Folge 04.06 Alte Autos, Neue Gefühle
  [Strangers in the night] (10/13/93)

Damit David die Late-Night-Radio-Shows durchhält, nimmt er Koffeinpillen. Sein Chaos im Appartment regt Kelly und Donna auf. Brendas Blinddate mit dem Sohn eines Klienten ihres Vaters, Stuart Carson, wird ein unerwarteter Erfolg. Kelly erklärt Dylan, daß sie sich auch mit anderen Jungs verabreden will. Andrea verliert ihre Jungfräulichkeit an Dan. Dylan kauft sich einen neuen Porsche, der ihm jedoch direkt wieder geklaut wird. Radio's late nights take their toll on David, who stops attending classes and behaves like a slob in the apartment. Donna worries, and she and Kelly confront his behavior, laying down some house rules. David apologizes to Donna over the radio. The radio station manager offers David caffeine pills, with the promise of something stronger in the future. Brenda has a blind date with Jim's client's son, Stuart, and imagines he's a geek. He's handsome and rich and wines and dines her, asking her what she's doing for the rest of her life. Kelly is increasingly attracted to John Sears and tells Dylan they should date others. Andrea loses her virginity to Dan Rubin and decides to transfer out of his English class. Dylan gets an expensive new Porsche but decides to return it; before he has the chance, he is carjacked at gunpoint.

Folge 04.07 Sorgenkinder
  [Moving targets] (10/20/93)

Dan bittet Andrea, ihre Beziehung geheimzuhalten, doch schließlich küssen sie sich in der Öffentlichkeit. Die Walshes fahren nach Bel-Air zum Brunch mit den Carsons, die ihre Zustimmung dazu geben, daß Brenda mit Stuart ausgeht. Professor Randall engagiert Brandon, D'Shawn Hardell, einem potentiellen Basketballstar, Nachilfestunden zu geben. Nachdem Dylans Porsche nicht mehr auftaucht, beschließt er, einen Jeep zu mieten und hat Pläne, illegal eine Waffe zu kaufen. Kelly geht weiterhin mit John Sears aus. Und Donna und David passen auf Erin auf, was 822 Seiten Moby Dick bedeutet. Dylan is upset over the carjacking and behaves erratically; he begins going to firing ranges and tries to buy a gun. Kelly worries about him and continues to date John Sears. Though Andrea is completely ecstatic over her new relationship, Dan wants to keep it secret because he worries the school will look down on a relationship between resident adviser and resident. Andrea worries that he's ashamed of her, but after sneaking around she gives him a huge kiss in the middle of the student union. Brenda and Stuart intensify quickly, which worries the Walshes. Jim and Cindy have brunch with Stuart's parents, who are overbearing, live in a mansion, and totally approve of Brenda for their son. Jackie and Mel fight over Mel's irresponsibility with baby Erin. Professor Randall asks Brandon to tutor a basketball star, D'Shawn, who rebuffs him.

Folge 04.08 Der Tag der Ringe
  [Twenty years ago today] (10/27/93)

Brandon lernt die 27jährige Lucinda Nicholson kennen. Dylan kauft eine illegale Walter-Pistole. Beinahe erschießt er Brandon versehentlich. Stuart schlägt Brenda die Hochzeit am 20sten Hochzeitstag seiner Eltern vor, sie ist einverstanden. Kelly macht mit John Schluß. Dans Ablehnung von Heiratsplänen läßt Andrea an ihm zweifeln, zumal sie den jungen Kellner Jesse Vasquez kennenlernt. David und Donna passen wieder auf Erin auf, nachdem Mel mit seiner neuen Freundin nach Mexiko fährt. Jim's mother and Cindy's parents arrive at the Walsh home to help Jim and Cindy celebrate their twentieth anniversary. The grandparents are impressed by Stuart, who has arrived to take Brenda shopping. Brandon meets an attractive and flirtatious graduate student at the gym, Lucinda Nicholson. Mel goes away for the weekend with his girlfriend, leaving Erin in David's care, which causes trouble with Jackie. Brandon stores his parents' anniversary gift with Dylan and must retrieve it in time for the party. When no one answers Dylan's door, Brandon sneaks in. Dylan draws his illegally purchased gun on Brandon, scaring both; Dylan agrees to dispose of the weapon. At the anniversary party, Stuart proposes to Brenda and she accepts. The engagement is announced to much shock; everybody feels Brenda is making a mistake, and Dylan hints that Stuart isn't what he appears to be. Andrea worries that there are no sparks in her relationship with Dan and chats with a bartender, Jesse, at the Walsh party.

Folge 04.09 Die Verlobung
  [Otherwise engaged] (11/03/93)

Stuart möchte, daß Brenda einen Vorehevertrag unterschreibt, nachdem er mit ihr im Bett war. Jim und Dylen versuchen, Brendas Hochzeit zu verhindern. Steve betrügt Celeste und beginnt, an Johns Liebe für Kelly zu zweifeln. Brandon ist drauf und dran, mit Lucinda eine Beziehung einzugehen, als er herausfindet, daß sie mit Professor Randall verheiratet ist. Jackie versucht, das alleinige Erziehungsrecht für Erin zu bekommen. Kelly und David geraten darüber in Streit, und Donna sitzt zwischen den Stühlen. Everybody is concerned about Brenda's engagement to Stuart. Jim senses trouble and asks Dylan to talk some sense into Brenda, but she reacts defensively. Stuart rents a posh hotel room as their getaway; Brenda decides to move there full-time to escape the criticism. She is put off when he asks her to sign a prenuptial agreement but eventually relents, as she is marrying for love. Steve reluctantly double-dates with John Sears, who is waiting for Kelly to make up her mind. Steve sleeps with his date, Laura, cheating on Celeste. Jackie sues Mel for full custody of Erin, causing a rift between David and Kelly. Brandon tutors D'Shawn, but feels it's a waste of time because D'Shawn wants to cheat rather than learn. Brandon dates Lucinda, but soon learns that she is married to Professor Randall. When Brandon is invited to dinner with both of them, the situation is extremely awkward, especially when Lucinda comes on to him.

Folge 04.10 (Der schönste Tag im Leben)
Brandon hat Probleme mit D'Shawns Nachhilfeunterricht, deshalb lädt Professor Randall ihn zu einem Abendessen ein, wo er Lucinda trifft. David und Kelly sagen Donna die Wahrheit über ihren Streit. Dylan erzählt Brandon, daß Stuart mit Drogen handelt, doch Brenda ist weiterhin mit ihm verlobt. Sie fährt mit ihm nach Las Vegas, um zu heiraten, doch die Clique kann dies grad noch rechtzeitig verhindern. Andrea spielt und gewinnt. Sie gibt Laura Steves Telefonnummer, doch der scheint nicht interessiert zu sein. 4.10 AND I DID... MY WAY (U.S.: 11/10/93) The custody battle between Mel and Jackie intensifies. Brandon is forced to have an uncomfortable dinner with Lucinda, Professor Randall, and D'Shawn. Steve avoids Laura, who feels jilted after their night together. Brenda continues to reside in the hotel with Stuart, upsetting Cindy and Jim to no end. Stuart's parents invite the Walshes for lunch to discuss the wedding; the Carsons want to pay for the whole thing, making it a posh and immediate affair. Jim and Cindy feel powerless. Stuart and Brenda, frustrated by the complexities, decide to elope to Las Vegas. Brandon assembles the gang to chase the couple down and stop the marriage. They try reverse psychology on Brenda and tell Stuart about Brenda's bad habits. The approaches work: a disillusioned Brenda backs out at the Elvis altar, just as Cindy and Jim rush in. Stuart is relieved as well. Everybody enjoys a fun Las Vegas night thereafter.

Folge 04.11 (Auf die harte Tour)
Nachdem D'Shawn Brandon und Lucinda beim Flirten erwischt, versucht er, Brandon damit zu erpressen und so sein Examen zu bestehen. Brandon verläßt deshalb die Stadt und versucht, seine alte Liebe Emily Valentine wiederzufinden. Steve erzählt Laura von Celeste, welche daraufhin hysterisch reagiert. Dies führt wiederum dazu, daß Celeste mit ihm Schluß macht. Kelly tröstet Steve und macht mit John Sears Schluß. 4.11 TAKE BACK THE NIGHT (U.S.: 11/17/93) It's Take Back the Night week, and gender issues are in the air. Brandon has dinner with Lucinda, D'Shawn, and Professor Randall; Lucinda continues to make passes at Brandon. D'Shawn notices their attraction at the gym and tries to blackmail Brandon into taking his exam. Brandon feels that all three are toying with him and leaves town to clear his head. John Sears gets cruelly angry when Kelly won't have sex with him; Dylan warns John to keep away from Kelly. Steve meets Laura to tell her that he has a girlfriend. She feels used, and flees, crying. She later tells a group she was date-raped; Kelly is sympathetic, thinking it was John Sears. When Kelly hears Steve's name, she warns him. He tells Celeste what happened and she breaks up with him. Laura gets up to speak at the Take Back the Night rally, but Kelly intervenes and speaks on Steve's behalf.

Folge 04.12 (Zufällige Begegnung)
Brandon findet Emily schließlich in San Fransisco. Andrea erzählt Donna von ihrem Ersten Mal. Bei Dan Rubins Thanksgiving-Party trifft sie Jesse wieder und gibt ihm ihre Adresse. Dylan erzählt Kelly, daß er über Thanksgiving nach Baja fährt, doch sie findet ihn bei den Walshes wieder... Donna fährt nach Houston, um sich mit ihren Eltern zu treffen. Sears versucht, sich mit einer 15jährigen im Downey House zu treffen, doch Steve vereitelt dies. 4.12 RADAR LOVE (U.S.: 11/24/93) Brandon heads up north to look for Emily Valentine but finds that her family has moved. Just as he decides to return home, he runs into Emily on the street. They bond once again and he decides to stay the weekend. Emily confesses to a friend that she loves Brandon, but the friend cautions that Emily must tell him the truth. Andrea accompanies Dan home for Thanksgiving. She feels uncomfortable until she sees a familiar face, Jesse, the bartender from the Walsh party, and she gives him her phone number. Steve thwarts John Sears in his sleazy attempts to pick up a younger, wayward girl at a charity event, arousing John's animosity. Kelly, her mother, Erin, David, and Dylan arrive at the Walsh house for Thanksgiving; Kelly feels hurt because Dylan had declined her Thanksgiving invitation, saying he would rather go surfing.

Folge 04.13 (Mut zum Risiko)
Nach einer gemeinsamen Nacht erzählt Emily Brandon von ihren Plänen, am Cousteau Institute in Frankreich Meeresbiologie zu studieren. Aber sie sagt, sie sei zu verliebt in Brandon, um zu gehen. Schließlich überzeugt er sie, doch zu gehen. Für "Hill Week" verkleidet sich Steve als Frau, worüber sich David königlich amüsiert. Außerdem bricht Steve in Professor Randalls Büro ein, um einen Baseball zu klauen. Er wird erwischt. Kelly und Donna ziehen durch die Studentenverbindung mit Pyjamas, Creme im Gesicht und Duschhauben. Andrea trifft sich mit Jesse, nachdem sie mit Dan Schluß gemacht hat. Brenda muß in einer Rolle in "Mask of the Mellincolin" komplett nackt spielen. 4.13 EMILY (U.S.: 12/01/93) Brandon and Emily wake up together, in love. She discusses how she's matured, how the psychiatric treatment helped. Brandon learns that Emily's gotten into the Cousteau Institute in France. Emily says she's too much in love to leave, but Brandon insists that she take her opportunity. Emily promises to write, and Brandon leaves. For Hell Week, Kelly and Donna have to parade through the student union in pajamas, cold cream, and shower caps, and Donna must xerox David's derriere. Steve dresses as a woman and then is commanded to break into Professor Randall's office to steal a prize baseball, only to be apprehended by security. Andrea tells Dan she doesn't love him. When she has her first date with Jesse, she learns that he's a UCLA law student. Brenda is in a play and must strip on stage; at the last minute, Brenda plays the scene comically, pulling off many layers but never coming up naked.

Folge 04.14 (Das ideale Paar)
An Davids und Donnas Geburtstag machen sie einen Ausflug nach Chinatown mit Brenda, Kelly, Dylan und Brandon. Donna und David werden in flagranti von ihren Eltern erwischt. Professor Randall findet heraus, daß seine Frau eine Affäre mit Brandon hat und versucht, Steve zu erpressen. Doch Brandon droht seinerseits mit einem Skandal um D'Shawn, so daß sich die Wogen am Ende wieder glätten. Dan macht sich über Jesse und Andrea lustig; dieser lädt Andrea in sein Appartment ein. Kelly und Dylan liefern sich an einer Autowaschanlage eine Wasserschlacht mit John Sears. 4.14 WINDSTRUCK (U.S.: 12/15/93) Donna has a dream that Howard Stern dubs her the Last American Virgin. The gang celebrates Donna and David's anniversary over a Chinese dinner. Donna later decides they should have sex, but just as they're getting intimate, Donna's parents arrive. They say they trust her, so Donna decides not to have sex after all. Brandon returns to Beverly Hills, and Steve asks him to speak to Professor Randall about having the break-in charges dropped. Steve's frat, led by John Sears, isn't supporting him. Brandon is surprised when D'Shawn, who didn't study, gets a B+ on the test; D'Shawn tells him it's about money. Brandon learns from Lucinda that Steve had been set up. Brandon talks to Randall, who accuses him of having an affair with his wife. Brandon threatens to expose the grades scandal, and Randall drops the charges against Steve. Under Dan's glowering eye, Andrea dates Jesse and falls in love.

Folge 04.15 (Weihnachten mit Hindernissen)
Dylan bereitet sich gerade darauf vor, nach Baja zu fliegen, als eine Frau und ein Kind zu ihm nach Hause kommen, sich als Suzanne und Erica Steel vorstellen und sagen, sie seien eine Ex-Frau und Tochter von Jack McKay. Steve spielt im Peach Pit Santa Claus für obdachlose Kinder.
Die Walsh-Familie plant eigentlich einen Urlaub auf Hawaii, der jedoch wegen einer dramatischen Flugzeugpanne wieder in LA endet. Andrea geht mit Jesse zur Mitternachtsmesse in die Katholische Kirche. An Donnas Geburtstag will David mit ihr Schluß machen, weil er genervt von ihrem Bestehen auf ihre Jungfräulichkeit ist. 4.15 SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD IT'S CHRISTMAS (U.S.: 12/22/93) The Walshes go to Hawaii for the holidays; on the plane, trouble arises, and they recall happy times as they wait for the plane to crash. The plane lands safely in Los Angeles. Dylan, off to surf in Baja, is packing when the doorbell rings: Suzanne and her daughter, Erica, identify themselves as friends of Dylan's father. Suzanne says they lost their home in the Midwest floods and that Jack McKay was Erica's father. Dylan is wary but cancels his trip and brings his new little sister a Christmas tree. Andrea nervously attends Catholic mass with Jesse. Steve frets over his frat woes; his father suggests he turn the tables on the person who set him up. Steve returns to the Peach Pit, dresses as Santa Claus, and distributes presents to homeless children. The Walshes arrive and everybody carols. David comes to tell Donna they can't continue without a sexual relationship, and she bursts into tears.

Folge 04.16 (Die Zerreißprobe)
Abschlußprüfungen stehen an, und Brenda muß lernen. Nachdem er Erica zum Magic Mountain mitgenommen hat, leiht Dylan Suzanne 5.000 $, doch sie gibt ihm nicht ihre Sozialversicherungsnummer, mit der er ihre Identität hätte verifizieren können. David nimmt Drogen, um Studium und Radio zu schaffen. Brendon schafft es, daß Professor Randall Steve in Ruhe läßt. D'Shawn bricht sich das Knie, schafft aber noch gerade so  seine Prüfungen. Dan Rubin zieht bei Andrea aus. Donna bietet David an, mit ihm zu schlafen, nur damit er zurückkommt. Dies lehnt David aber ab. 4.16 CRUNCH TIME (U.S.: 1/05/94) Donna is upset about David's ultimatum. David, exhausted from his radio schedule, takes speed, becoming mysteriously irritable. He quickly starts to need a bigger high and escalates to crack. Kelly suspects David may be doing drugs. Suzanne and Erica stay with Dylan; Brenda and Kelly are suspicious. Dylan decides to loan Suzanne $10,000 and speaks to Jim, who wants to perform a background check on her. When Dylan hands Suzanne the check, he asks for her Social Security number; she is furious, but Erica sneaks the number to Dylan. Steve must go head-to-head with John Sears at the frat: one by one, the brothers cast their votes for Steve or John. Steve wins, and John must leave. Brandon continues to tutor D'Shawn, who has turned over a new leaf and now wants to study. D'Shawn twists his knee in a game but realizes there are other things besides sports.

Brenda, Donna, Steve, and Brandon go skiing, where Donna meets a cute guy, but when they kiss she realizes she still loves David. Andrea skips the skiing trip because she's not feeling well and goes to the doctor. She is shocked to discover that she's pregnant. Kelly asks David if he's doing drugs; he denies it. When they stop by Mel's office to pick up Erin, David steals drugs from his father's dental cabinet. Kelly leaves David and Erin at the park. When she returns, David is asleep on the bench and Erin is lost. At the police station, Mel and Jackie fight. Erin is found, and David confesses to Kelly that he's doing drugs. Kelly promises to help the tearful David. Dylan learns from Jim that Suzanne has $25,000 in a bank account.

Folge 04.18 (Die Herzattacke)

Cindy goes back to school to study family and child counseling. Suzanne starts waitressing at the Peach Pit. David sees a psychologist to help him kick drugs; he confesses his problem to Donna, who is supportive. Andrea worries about her pregnancy and considers an abortion, fearing she will lose Jesse if he finds out. Kelly advises her to tell Jesse; Andrea tries, but fails when Jesse tells her he's gotten a clerkship with a federal judge. When she finally does break the news, Jesse responds with love. Nat has a heart attack. His brother arrives and decides to close the Peach Pit; the gang volunteers to run it until Nat gets better, but the Peach Pit still has financial problems and will probably close. David has a drug and radio relapse.

Folge 04.19 (Feministische Schachzüge)
Dylan kauft 50% des Peach Pit für 75.000 $ von Nats cousin. Andrea entscheidet sich, das Baby zu bekommen und Jesse zu heiraten. After much thought, Andrea decides to marry Jesse and have the baby. Dylan saves the day by investing in the Peach Pit, becoming part owner, which makes Brandon feel inadequate. Kelly and Donna discover that David is still doing drugs, and the two move out until David gets his life together. They both move in with Dylan. When David tries to buy more drugs from Howard, he is rebuffed, but David finds another dealer and spends rent money on drugs. He begins to shoot up. Brandon hears from Brenda and Kelly, who are taking Lucinda's class, that Lucinda and Professor Randall are getting divorced; he visits her, and the two reignite their relationship.

Folge 04.20 (Drogenrazzia)

His dealer asks him to stash some drugs because he's about to be busted; David reluctantly agrees. The police arrive at the apartment and Dylan helps David flush the drugs just in time, scaring David into recovery. Steve moves into the fraternity and has trouble keeping up with the party schedule. Brandon feels jealous of Dylan for his ownership of the Peach Pit and continues his secret relationship with Lucinda. Andrea and Jesse decide to marry on Valentine's Day, but Andrea is sad because her parents don't approve. Grandma Rose is supportive and throws a wedding shower for Andrea. At the city hall ceremony, Andrea's parents rush in at the last minute. The happy wedding reception is held at the Peach Pit. Stuart rushes in to see Brenda, back from his trip to South America.

Folge 04.21 (Süchtig nach Liebe)
Nachdem er vorher bei Lucinda war, besucht Brandon gemeinsam mit Kelly das Task Force - Dinner, wo Josh Richland sehr neugierige Fragen über ihr Sexualleben stellt. Brandon forscht nach und befragt auch noch Andrea, D'Shawn, Steve und Donna. Auf dem Weg nach Palm Springs schafft es Brenda, Stuarts Auto zu verschließen und den Schlüssel darin zu vergessen. David leith sich ein Klavier. 4.21 ADDICTED TO LOVE (U.S.: 2/16/94) Brandon must attend a formal dinner for the Task Force on Higher Education but cannot bring Lucinda because it would be too scandalous. Josh Richland begins investigating Brandon, suspecting that something is going on with Lucinda, so Brandon pretends that Kelly is his girlfriend for the next task force event. Donna moves back into the beach apartment but Kelly stays with Dylan so they can spend some time alone. Lucinda's NEA grant application is rejected but Dylan considers investing in her documentary, which upsets Brandon. Brenda goes to Palm Springs with Stuart. When she locks the keys in the car in the middle of the desert, Stuart explodes. After a transportational saga, they arrive in Palm Springs to meet his father. Stuart and his father fight and Brenda gets fed up; she throws her ring at Stuart, breaking off the engagement. Dylan picks Brenda up and brings her home, which disturbs Kelly.

Folge 04.22 (Partnertausch)
Kelly fährt mit Brandon zum Task Force Camp. Dort küssen sie sich... und sie treffen Claire Arnold, den Tochter des Uni-Direktors, die sich für Brandon zu interessieren beginnt. Kelly's roommate is Clare, Chancellor Arnold's daughter; Brandon's roommate is nosy Josh Richland, who is plugging away on the Lucinda topic. On a moonlit walk, Brandon tells Kelly he has feelings for her and they kiss, but she later says she's not ready for a romance with him. Steve abuses Andrea's dorm room but then makes up with the resident advisor. A cute dog, Rocky, follows Brenda and Donna. Rocky's shaved spots prompt Donna to bring him to the vet, where she discovers that he was an animal-testing subject. In her class, Lucinda lectures against the normalcy of monogamy. She invites Dylan for dinner to see her documentary footage and makes a pass at him. When Brandon and Kelly return, nothing is said about the weekend's complex romantic interactions--Kelly and Dylan reunite and Brandon goes to Lucinda's.

Folge 04.23 (Ein Hundeleben)

Folge der Serie] 4.23 A PIG IS A BOY IS A DOG (U.S.: 3/02/94) Rocky, Donna's new dog, is sick. She and Brenda get involved with animal-rights groups, but Andrea, who works in the campus lab, tries to explain the benefits of animal testing. Rocky is diagnosed with cancer and dies, spurring Brenda to radical activism. She is arrested during a raid on the lab and calls Dylan from jail. Kelly, unaware that Lucinda made a pass at Dylan, wonders why Dylan won't fund Lucinda's documentary and arranges a group dinner. The evening is a disaster; Dylan is extremely rude, and after Brandon and Lucinda leave, he tells Kelly about Lucinda's advances. Kelly storms out. Kelly tells Brandon about Lucinda and Dylan, saying she feels compelled to tell Dylan about the retreat kiss. Brandon breaks things off with Lucinda, angry at her infidelity with Dylan. Dylan confronts Brandon about kissing Kelly and tries to punch him but hits Steve instead; they end up laughing.

Folge 04.24 (Enttäuschung und Versöhnung)
Josh Richland droht, einen Artikel über Brandons und Lucindas Sexleben zu veröffentlichen, bis er selbst Fehler zugeben muß. Dies führt dazu, daß Brandon ihn als Editor absetzen will. Brenda wird aus dem Gefängnis entlassen, und Donna fährt sie in ihrem neuen BMW durch die Gegend. 4.24 CUFFS AND LINKS (U.S.: 3/16/94) Steve and his father, Rush, play golf; Rush cheats and harangues Steve, who says he won't play with a cheater, which gives Rush a new respect for his son. Josh Richland threatens to run his article on Brandon and Lucinda, but will squelch it if Brandon backs him for student-body president; Brandon refuses. When the article runs, it says nothing about Lucinda but instead praises Brandon--Josh has been impressed by Brandon's principles. Brenda is in jail for the animal-lab incident. Dylan and Kelly arrive to bail Brenda out but Kelly is upset because Brenda always calls Dylan for help and Dylan always responds. Brenda is indicted on federal charges. Her parents are furious, and everybody ostracizes her so as not to be subpoenaed. A chastened Brenda appears on Dylan's doorstep; Kelly explodes, angering Dylan and prompting Brenda to run out. The FBI offers to drop the charges if Brenda signs an affidavit against the career activists. Kelly apologizes to Brenda.

Folge 04.25 (Wendys Tagebuch)
Es sind Frühjahrsferien, und die Clique fährt nach Palm Springs. Alle - außer Brenda, die ein altes Tagebuch findet, das 1968 von einer gewissen Wendy Edwards geschrieben wurde. Während sie liest, stellt sie sich ihre Freunde in den verschiedenen Charakteren des Tagebuchs vor, z.B. Andrea als Hippie, Steve als Ronnie und Dylan als Peter Brinkley, der gegen den Krieg ist. David ist Seth II, der Sex von Mary Anne Baily, gespielt von Donna, will und auch bekommt. Brandon spielt Wendys Bruder, der im Vietnam-Krieg stirbt, und Kelly spielt Michelle II, die 1971 an einer Überdosis LSD stirbt. Das Tagebuch schreibt auch über den Weg nach Woodstock. Schließlich macht Brenda sich auf, die echte Wendy zu treffen. 4.25 TIME HAS COME TODAY (U.S.: 3/23/94) The gang plans a spring-break ski trip to Mammoth, but Brenda declines to join. She is moping around after her brush with the law. She finds an old diary and begins to read. Wendy, to whom the diary belonged, lived in the Walsh house during the sixties. There are many parallels between Wendy and Brenda--Wendy used to go to the Peach Pit and demonstrated against the Vietnam War, and her best friend, Michelle, ran off to Woodstock with her boyfriend, Peter. Brenda flashes back to the sixties, casting Dylan as Peter and Kelly as Michelle. To no avail, Brenda looks for Wendy's yearbook at the library; she does, however, find the adult Wendy living in the suburbs. Wendy tells her that her brother died in the war and that Michelle died of a heroin overdose. Brenda feels emotionally cleansed and realizes how much she loves her friends.

Folge 04.26 (Der Vertrauensbeweis)
Als Brandons Auto eine Panne direkt vor einem Schwulencafé hat, treffen Steve und er dort auf den KEG-Präsidenten Mike Ryan. Steve entschließt sich, Artie Devers von dieser Entdeckung zu erzählen, und Mike soll aus der Gruppe ausgeschlossen werden, bis Steve für ihn einspringt. Ihre Verbindung macht Donna so eifersüchtig, daß sie ihrerseits mit D'Shawn zum Bowling geht. 4.26 BLIND SPOT (U.S.: 4/06/94) David takes piano lessons with a blind woman, Holly. Their attraction makes Donna jealous, so she goes on a pretend date with D'Shawn to get David's attention. Brandon and Steve accidentally walk into a cafe patronized by gay men. Steve sees one of his fraternity brothers, Mike, who assumes Steve is gay also. Steve reacts poorly to Mike's sexual orientation and, despite the fact the Mike stood up for him against John Sears, tells everybody that Mike is gay. Mike is ridiculed and will be forced to leave the fraternity. Feeling remorse, Steve finds Mike and tells him to fight back. With Steve's help, the fraternity not only votes to have Mike stay but also makes him president. Kelly and Donna plan to assemble a calendar of campus hunks and ask their friends to pose. Most initially refuse, but in the end we get to see all the guys in their underwear.

Folge 04.27 (Schauspielerinnen)
Brenda und Laura Klingman bemühen sich beide um die Hauptrolle der Maggie in der "Katze auf dem heißen Blechdach". Steve hilft Laura beim Lernen. Laura, the girl who accused Steve of date rape, is also trying out. She and Steve make amends and Steve helps her rehearse. At Brenda's urging, Kelly auditions for the supporting role, but sexy and famous director Roy Randolph asks her to read for Maggie, the lead that Brenda seeks. When Kelly gets called back for Maggie, Brenda feels betrayed. Suzanne has a new boyfriend, Kevin, whom Erica dislikes. Dylan talks to her and she tries to get along with Kevin; Kevin and Dylan hit it off and discuss surfing and ecology. Clare Arnold, the chancellor's daughter, has a crush on Brandon and appears on his doorstep after his parents have left for the weekend. She won't leave, dons a sexy teddy, and handcuffs herself to the bed. Annoyed, Brandon turns off the lights and leaves her there.

Folge 04.28 (Die Chance ihres Lebens)
Nachdem sie "Die Methode" von Lee Strossberg von Donna und David bekommt, bricht Kelly die Schauspielerei ab, und Brenda bricht das letzte Vorsprechen ab und geht zu Roy nach Hause, um eine zweite Chance zu bekommen. Brandon geht mit Claire zur "Prom Night" und wird von ihr in ein Hotelzimmer gestoßen. Nachdem Jesse nach San Fransisco fährt, bekommt Andrea falsche Wehen und regt sich darüber auf, daß Donna sie an ihre Hochzeit, den Verlust ihrer Jungfräulichkeit und ihre vielen Freunde erinnert. Dylan und Kevin unterhalten sich über das Strandsäuberungsprojekt. Brandon erwischt Steve und Laura bei der Generalprobe beim Küssen. 4.28 ACTING OUT (U.S.: 4/27/94) Kelly and Brenda fight about the lead in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof;" the two will compete in callbacks. Steve, in the meantime, coaches and kisses Laura. Kelly and Dylan bicker incessantly; Dylan has no interest in hearing about her feud with Brenda. He and Kevin find common ground in discussing water pollution. Kelly drops out of the running and reconciles with Brenda. Brenda flubs and flees the final audition, but later pays the director a private visit for a second chance. Chancellor Arnold remarks that he's pleased Brandon will be taking Clare to her senior prom, which comes as a surprise to Brandon. After the prom, the two join a raucous hotel party. Clare is totally wild and a fistfight ensues. Brandon is bruised, the hotel room is damaged, and security is called. Andrea goes into false labor and is confined to bed.

Folge 04.29 (Gerüchte)
David und Donna bringen Rocky 2 Frisbeefangen bei. Brenda wird beschuldigt, die Hauptrolle nur bekommen zu haben, weil sie mit Roy ins Bett gegangen ist, was sie unter dem steigenden Druck schließlich zugibt. Claire plant einen Trip mit Brandon nach Berkeley, doch er ist immer noch ziemlich genervt von ihr. 4.29 TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES (U.S.: 5/04/94) Brenda wins the Maggie role. A rejected Laura, assigned to understudy, spreads the rumor that Brenda slept with the director. Many believe it, which hurts Brenda. Laura begins a sabotage campaign, and Steve realizes she's a psycho. After the director fires Laura publicly, Steve finds her suicide note; he and Brenda stop Laura from hanging herself, and she is taken away. Suzanne and Kevin announce their engagement; Dylan bristles at Kelly's negativity toward his new family. Dylan visits Kevin's lab, where Kevin explains his new coastal clean-up technology, perfect save for lack of financing. Chancellor Arnold is overjoyed to think Brandon is dating Clare; Brandon doesn't have the heart to tell him otherwise. Clare goes too far when she arranges to accompany Brandon on an official trip to Berkeley. He tries to talk to the chancellor, who is blinded to Clare's craziness. Andrea has trouble staying in bed all the time.

Folge 04.30 (Das Ende eines Alptraums)

Dylan decides to invest his money in Kevin's environmental clean-up plans. Kelly and Dylan bicker constantly and head toward break-up. David and Donna book Babyface for the C.U. carnival; David meets Ariel, Babyface's publicist, who invites him to jam with her friends. The band is asked to open for Babyface, but David worries about the band members' drug use and leaves the group. Brandon frets that Clare has poisoned the chancellor against him, jeopardizing his attendance at the Washington, D.C., task-force meeting. Brenda makes her debut in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." She and Dylan later share an ambiguous kiss, confusing them both. Andrea's pregnancy has further complications and she checks into the hospital to avert early labor. Labor pains come nonetheless, and Andrea is rushed into the delivery room.

Folge 04.31 (Mr. Walsh geht nach Washington (1))
Zum 28sten Jahrestag des jährlichen Frühlingskarnevals der CU organisieren Ariel und David Bands, die den generellen California Camp Fond unterstützen, was Donna eifersüchtig macht. Brandon fährt nach Washington, D.C. Claire und Lucinda sind beide scharf auf ihn. Kelly erzählt Andrea, daß sie plant, Brandon zu besuchen. Andrea hat schließlich eine Kaiserschnitt-Geburt einer kleinen Tochter, die sie Hannah nennt. Steve kämpft fürs KEG-Haus bei einem Schlammkampf mit, wo er von John Sears geschlagen wird, der nun mit Celeste zusammen ist. Dylan fährt zu Kevins Hochzeit nach Montecito, während Jim die Investitionen plant. Roy bietet Brenda einen Platz an der Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London an.

Folge 04.32 (Mr. Walsh geht nach Washington (2))
Jesse bricht seine Reise ab, um sich um Hannahs Gesundheit zu kümmern; Andrea darf währenddessen nach Hause, allerdings ohne Hannah. Steve gewinnt den Schlammkampf letztlich, weil Brenda, Donna und Celeste ihn mit ihren weiblichen Reizen unterstützen. Kelly besucht Brandon, der sogar Bill Clintons Hand schütteln darf. Er tauscht sein Zimmer, um Lucinda und Claire auszutricksen. Donna erwischt David und Ariel beim Sex und schmeißt ihn aus dem Appartment raus. Brenda küßt Dylan zum Abschied, sie geht nach London. Dylan wird von Jim gefeuert. Kevin klaut Dylans Geld von der Bank und verschleppt Suzanne und Erica nach Brasilien. Erica kann darüber gerade noch eine kurze Notiz an Dylan schicken... 4.31 MR. WALSH GOES TO WASHINGTON (2 hours) (U.S.: 5/25/94) Andrea delivers a dangerously premature baby girl, Hannah, whose survival is in question. Kevin and Suzanne get married. Over Jim's objections, Dylan funds Kevin's entire business venture by himself, and Suzanne, Kevin, and Erica take off for Brazil, stealing all Dylan's money. Erica leaves a note at the airport, hoping it will get to Dylan. Brandon travels to Washington and is upset to see both Clare and Lucinda Nicholson both hit on him. Kelly announces that she and Dylan have broken up and joins Brandon in Washington; the two consummate their new relationship. After the Babyface concert, Donna finds David in Ariel's limo, about to have sex; Donna flees, devastated, unwilling to accept David's excuses. Roy Randolph arranges an audition for Brenda at the Royal Academy in London, saying she is a promising actress. When Brenda tells Dylan she's going to London, she admits that she never stopped loving him and the two kiss passionately.
